Accreditations & Affiliations
Accreditation ensures that schools provide their pupils with the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need for the British education system. Southend Education requires regular evidence from its schools that confirms that the local management maintains the same level of standards as for independent schools in England and Wales.

Our accreditation process is based on inspections between 2 and 4 years. Most parents/guardians require the comfort that the British school their child goes to is inspected and accredited to the same standards as schools are required to meet in England.​

All Southend Education schools are inspected & accredited by BSO.​
The BSO Scheme is the UK Department for Education’s voluntary inspection scheme for overseas schools. Overseas schools describing themselves as “British” are subject to recognition by the British government under the voluntary inspection scheme. The Department for Education (DfE) has put in place arrangements for inspection against a common set of standards that British Schools Overseas can choose to adopt.

We pride ourselves on being a truly international school system, welcoming students from different nationalities. We forge close relationships between students, parents and teachers and tailor our curriculum to take full advantage of the opportunities in which our multicultural community can collaborate, learn from each other, and develop a truly global perspective. We offer an extensive EAL (English as an additional language) programme integrated into the curriculum for those students who are not English speakers, allowing them to access the curriculum fully. We assess all students to determine the level of support they require in this area and communicate progress with parents closely.
